Before establishing Tyson Shu Law, PLLC, Emily worked as an attorney for a local firm in downtown Seattle, practicing in immigration law, criminal defense, and personal injury. In that capacity, Emily had advised hundreds of clients with customized immigration planning, and represented clients in state courts and immigration tribunals concerning criminal or immigration issues.

Given her cultural understanding and language skills in Mandarin Chinese, she has been active in the immigrant communities, dedicating to giving back by providing pro bono consultations to low-income earners. As a mother of two, Emily deeply cares for the the importance of family values, and is therefore committed her practice to immigration and estate planning to help people start and protect their families in the U.S.

Emily Shu was born in Taiwan. Emily loves dogs and has adopted a mixed-breed from a shelter. In her free time, Emily enjoys traveling with her family within the U.S. and abroad to visit friends and relatives.

COOPER, Office Mascot

Cooper was rescued by a dog shelter in Bellevue, Washington. He was originally from Orange County, California, and was transferred to Seattle for a better chance to be adopted. Cooper joined Emily's family in 2016, and was later appointed as the office mascot!

Like all dogs, Cooper likes walks and delicious treats.
